Terms of Use
Last updated: 17 October 2026
These terms govern your use of the Bark Talk iOS app (“Bark Talk”, “we”, “us”), developed by Tal Zvi. By downloading or using Bark Talk, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Bark Talk is entertainment, not a real translation. The app records a short clip of your dog's bark and uses AI to make a playful guess at its mood, producing a fun, personality-styled “translation”. Dogs don't speak human language, and there is no scientific way to literally translate barks into English. Nothing in the app should be read as an accurate account of what your dog is thinking or feeling.
Bark Talk is not veterinary advice. It is not a diagnostic tool and cannot tell you whether your dog is sick, injured or in distress. If you're worried about your dog's health or behaviour, talk to a licensed veterinarian or a qualified trainer.
No guarantee of accuracy
Translations, mood guesses, personality cards and any other output are generated by an AI model for entertainment purposes and vary between identical recordings. We make no claim, and give no warranty, that any output reflects your dog's actual mood, intentions or state of health. You use the app's outputs at your own discretion and risk.
Subscriptions
Bark Talk offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions, billed and managed entirely through your Apple ID / App Store account:
- Annual — $39.99 per year, with a 7-day free trial
- Weekly — $3.99 per week, with a 7-day free trial
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at the end of the free trial (if any) and again at the start of each renewal period, unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your subscription automatically renews for the same length and price unless you cancel. You can manage or cancel your subscription any time in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your device. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for. Unused portions of a free trial are forfeited if you purchase a subscription during the trial period, where applicable under Apple's rules.
Prices may vary by territory and are shown in the App Store before purchase. We don't handle payments directly and can't issue refunds ourselves — refund requests go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Apple's licence to you
Your use of the app is also governed by Apple's standard End User License Agreement (the Licensed Application End User License Agreement), available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. Where these Terms and Apple's standard EULA conflict on a matter Apple requires it to control, Apple's EULA governs.
Third-party content
Lesson videos in the Learn tab are embedded from YouTube and remain the property of their respective creators; viewing them is also subject to YouTube's Terms of Service. Sound effects in the Sounds tab are licensed under CC0 or from Pixabay and are listed with their sources in the app; Bark Talk does not claim ownership of third-party audio or video content.
Acceptable use
Don't use Bark Talk to harm an animal, to attempt to bypass or abuse the translation service (for example by scripting requests outside the app), or in any way that violates applicable law. We may suspend or limit access to the translation service for accounts or devices that abuse it.
Intellectual property
The app, its design, the dog twin artwork and its original content are owned by Tal Zvi and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute or reverse-engineer the app except as permitted by applicable law.
No warranty; limitation of liability
Bark Talk is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including any decision made or action taken based on a translation, mood guess or tip the app provides.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated terms. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
